The AHA bus trainings (Bäuerliche Unternehmer Schulungen – Agribusiness Training) have been an integral part of agricultural training in Germany for more than two decades. They put the personal skills and the operational potential in the focus of the training. Since 2007 AHA and its partner GEFAK – on behalf of GIZ – have as also been building the framework for supranational trainings in Ethiopia, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire and in Mongolia.
Strenghening of Farmer Organisations
Integrated within the “Special Initiative – ONE WORLD – no hunger” (SEWOH), an initiative funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Farmers ‘Association (DBV) and the AHA support farmers’ organizations in developing countries as experts and development partners. Our project aims to develop and strengthen farmers’ organizations that provide better conditions and services for its members. AHA international in cooperating with 15 selected African countries and India.
The AHA supports the exchange of knowledge and experience of delegations from developing and transition countries with institutions and experts of the German Agricultural Industries, in particular on education and training. We also integrate local experts and executives in the exchange e.g. through our annual excursion of the TOP course to Ethiopia.
